It is true in my life. I think the largest example which shows truth is, in Japan no hat fits my kid that is meant for her size. Her head is in the 60% range for her age, Japanese baby heads seem to be much larger based on the hats. The hats are made for their head.
It think it is true for babies.
Asian new born infants are heavier than white ones, though Asian adults are smaller.
I was over 4kg when I was born, quite more than the average of Americans. But now I am kind of skinny as an adult.
What is interesting is that Neanderthals have the biggest head of any humanoid species.
Some scientists suggest that Europeans share some genes with Neanderthals.
Homo erectus of Asia (e.g. the Peking man) do not have a very big head.
All the males in both sets of pictures have a round noggin. Women are always hard for me to determine because of hair style, though it does not seem well hidden with the white lady (I should know her name but it is escaping me atm.)
You DO realize that the first one and the last one are close-up shots!? There's no way to compare dimensions from heads (in pictures). Unless they were all taken from the same distance.
