They don't have data for China?
I am sure South Korea is more religious than China. Japan is probably close.
Unlike Japan and Korea, China has 20+ million Muslims, but it is still a small number.

It seems northern Europeans are not religious.

One cannot use a Western Judero-Christian-Muslim yardstick to measure the religiousness of East Asia. The approach to religion is so fundamentally different that there is really no comparison. This is part of the reason that the West is so fascinated with Eastern thought and religion. The religions of China must be doing OK because I have heard it from amny different sources that the number of Buddhist and Taoist temples is growing raher than shrinking. Not haveing been there I can't really say but it is certainly possible. I spent a decade in Japan and return quite often to see family and while Japanese people often say they are not religious they still observe both Shinto and Buddhist thought with reverence. What they often mean is that they are not religious in the same way Westerners are.

Yes I understand your point. I am not just talking about how many Christians/Muslims/Buddhists each country has either.
In general, people of some countries may think about religions less and religions have less influence on their life.

Makes sense since NK is deep into communism (no state religion). Russia and China probably gets in that group.
