Dude, no. The USA is not unique for having two different mountain chains. Like wtf, lots of countries have at least two. And I disagree about any of Florida qualifying as a unique tropical experience. That peninsula technically doesn't even reach the tropic zone.
And can someone define the beauty? Physical/visual? Cultural? A combination?
I never said America was "unique" in that regard, smart one. I said America was "one of few". Which I am 100% correct about.
Not cultural. Lets keep it to physical/visual. Cultural is too subjective and most of the world doesn't like America's culture because of jealousy.
Florida, especially South Florida has a true tropical climate because of water currents that surround it keeping it warmer than usual.
I think it is! And that isn't just my bias because I am an American.
Any type of climate or landscape can be found here and we even have several landscapes unique to us that no one else has. I was born just outside of the Everglades in south Florida and that scenery doesn't exist anywhere else.
I don't think other big countries like Russia or Canada can compare because they lack tropical climate within their borders.
I think the only place that could really contend with us in terms of natural beauty is China.
I do love NY State though! I love nearly every State! But, if I broke Canada up into 50 little itty bitty provinces, I could have a whole big ol' list of all this awesomeness too.
By its sheer size and diversity of landscapes, climates and topography it's certainly up there. What it lacks though is the history you'll find in Europe and Asia.
