That landscape is gorgeous! Especially when you have a boat to traverse through the channels with. You will see the most beautiful nature right up close and personal.

Define tropical, please. I'm from the deep tropics myself, and I probably have a different image in my head than your mid-latitude mind does . Oh, and, being I'm from Puerto Rico, Florida definitely does not have a more diverse landscape than Florida. Puerto Rico has tropical savannahs, rainforest, borderline desert, flat coastal plains, and a very rugged (kinda like Japan's) mountainous center. Florida has none of those.
Japan for rugged beauty. Namibia for serene beauty
Puerto Rico is basically part of the United States so any aspect of its beauty we get to add to our own though.
Anybody ever been up close and personal with Ireland as another country not often mentioned for it's natural beauty but I can assure you it has a wealth of landscape diveristy also.
While touring Ireland I was flabbergasted to see huge tall palm trees growing at the driveway entrances to private homes on it's southern shoreline. 'Emerald Isle' is also most accurate when one sees the colour of the pastures. Giant's Causeway, another natural anomoly.
There are just too many "uniquely" beautiful places on the planet to try and pidgeonhole one as having a representive sampling of all of them.

Anybody here ever been to the Greek Isles? I could easily spend my remaining years there enjoying the small cafes and fishing villages along with water you can see clear to the bottom without needing to snorkel down to catch a glimpse of a rare fish.
I think it is! And that isn't just my bias because I am an American.
Any type of climate or landscape can be found here and we even have several landscapes unique to us that no one else has. I was born just outside of the Everglades in south Florida and that scenery doesn't exist anywhere else.
I don't think other big countries like Russia or Canada can compare because they lack tropical climate within their borders.
I think the only place that could really contend with us in terms of natural beauty is China.
What do you all think?
America could be the most beautiful country in the world, but we have worked pretty hard over the past 50 or 60 years to make it much uglier than it needs to be. The biggest reason for American's ugliness: the fact we build everything to accommodate the private automobile.
America has plenty of lush forests, majestic mountains, and beautiful city skylines. But to get to any of that, you have to drive past endless miles of Wal-Marts and Pizza Huts and Burger Kings and strip malls and other horrible-looking, auto-centric architecture. Most American towns and cities have zero character or charm. They are just giant, bland malls surrounded by cookie-cutter subdivisions. Again, all built around cars.
