No they only say that when discussing ancestry. They do say that all the time, when I was there they said that and I see them saying that on tv as if it actually defines them and how they live their life.
In many ways they do go on like they are better than us.

Well your background kinda does impact on who you are, its not all but its makes up who that person is.
Also, African Americans have a good reason to proclaim their ancestry, read a book and you'll understand.
Yes I know the past but get over it no one cares anymore. Like my religion was persecuted but I don't go round proclaiming who I am because I know no one cares and I am not better than anyone.
And yes my nephews are half Nigerian so I do know but I have to say traditions go away after a few generations

Seriously. Someone needs to brush up on his American history.

Your religion isn't obvious to people, you know, like skin colour.
I don't like people who bring up past feuds. GET OVER IT. I am from a feudal country and I DON'T CARE. This really really annoys me constantly bringing it up over and over again. It's not gonna solve anything.

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it"
How do you think we feel? I felt like I had to give and it was all my fault when I'm not even American.
It felt like we were supposed to be privileged to be near them or something...
I've never felt like that in America. Not a single time. And I go to Detroit.
