Had the chance to spend NYE 2012/13 in Hong Kong. Overall, probably the best New Year's party I ever experienced. We found the best place to watch the fireworks. Great view, skyline and all. Then all the beer kicked in and I had to go to the toilet. Needless to say, it was impossible to get back to the others and I ended up not seeing a single rocket
Anyway, Chinese New Year soon followed and thanks to a German company that organized a small party in their office on the 50th floor I finally had the chance to fully enjoy Chinese fireworks.
London's. This year had special segments for commemorating the war dead (50th Anniversary of end of WWII), signified by the red colour (the symbol of war remembrance is the red poppy in UK).
