Strongly emphasizing German, and Australian cities way too much for the list. Mainland Asia deserving more attention. Other areas of mainland Europe requiring more inherent focus of honor.
With every city I replace there is another entity to incorporate even more. These various cities are reaching high standards:
Innsbruck Austria Tyrol, Nice France Mediterranean Provence Cote d’ Azur, Budapest Hungary, Bratislava Slovakia, Prague Czech Republic, Zagreb Croatia, Timisoara Romania, Wroclaw Poland, Brasov Romania, Riga Latvia, San Sebastian Spain, Lisbon Portugal, Krakow Poland, Lyon Rhone-Alpes France, Grenoble France, Milan Lombardia Italy, Lille Nord-Pas-De-Calais France, Oporto Portugal, Batumi Georgia, Baku Azerbaijan, Abu Dhabi UAE, Doha Qatar, Dubai UAE, Manama Bahrain, Seoul South Korea, Kyoto Kansai Japan, Saigon Ho Chi Minh Vietnam, Busan South Korea, Shanghai China, Hong Kong, Macau, Kunming Yunnan China, Kuala Lumpur Malaysia, Taipei Taiwan, Santiago Chile, Chicago USA, Gold Coast Queensland, Brisbane Australia!

You have lessons to learn for the legitimate honor of these very complex methodological systems. Mercer’s Quality Of Life World scale is encompassing at least some serious notes to take into deep understanding. If that is the only three city combination you have qualms towards then there is a negative tendency of OCD obsessive compulsive disorder to wrongly scrutinize the minor flaws.
Auckland is rather affordable, quiet residential, and easy to daily life compared to the expensive, house swamped loud noise problems, and ultra competitive vibe of San Francisco. Trust me, New York City is relaxing compared to San Francisco!

I have been to all of the bolded cities. The only two that might stir some excitement if I was told that there was a job there are Montreal and Amsterdam. Even Amsterdam is a push, but the people who I met there were great and made it a great experience. It was more the people than the city itself. Montreal is a an excellent city in many ways. Likewise Paris, but not to live. The rest are nice, but it's hard to see what metric makes them a cut above the rest of the world.
I generally agree with this list (Although cities like Lisbon should be much higher and cities like Paris should be way lower IMO). What most people don't understand is that this Mercer ranking is for residents in a certain city not for tourists. Many of these cities might seem boring but they have the essentials for a good, safe, stable life and plenty of jobs which is what most people are looking for. So who cares if the top cities don't have that much culture? Who the hell goes to cinema or theatre or museums every day? Most peoples lives in cities revolve around work, going home, taking care of kids and family (if they have them), eat, sleep and go on vacation when the holiday season arrives.

Good point, that was the major reason I left London. So much to do, but once long work hours, commuting times and family become involved, you have very little if any time to enjoy it.
