Far left when I was younger....but the older I get, the more centrist my views become. Generally speaking, I'd still call myself left of center, but not by a whole lot
I believe that legally married gay couples should be able to protect their legally grown Marijuana plants with legally purchased firearms (with the proper training with of course).
I don't think there is an option in this poll for whatever that inclination would be considered. Maybe Centrism?
I'm socially liberal and fiscally conservative. I believe in the rights of individuals. I believe that the larger government becomes, the more corrupt it becomes - it's in it's very nature.
Makes sense - this would be why you have to pay bribes to so much as get into Canada or Sweden, which spend upwards of 45% of their GPD through their governments, where, in contrast, places like Turkmenistan or the Central African Republic, where government spending is a fraction of this (both in relative and absolute terms), are bastions of probity.
For me, there are only 2 big criteria in U.S. politics:
1. Keep the nation safe.
2. Keep the economy strong.
Whoever I think will do this gets my vote. The rest is just details or whatever (mostly whatever).
Which political party in the world goes around screaming at rallies, "We are going to destroy the country! Vote for us! We are going to cripple the economy! Vote for us!"
