So, what city skylines will change the most in the next several decades to the point to where they will be unrecognizable? Kind of like how Dubai, Shanghai, and Shenzhen have changed a lot in the last 30 years or so?

My guess is going to be London. Already we see a lot of new skyscrapers there and there are many more on the way. What city is going to change the most?

Toronto will be up there. This is the projected skyline just for 2020.

I'd like to throw Detroit's hat in the ring.

The South Bank of the London, stretching all the way from Vauxhall to Blackfriars will become virtually unrecognizable due to new luxury high-rises, assuming the approved and planned developments there go ahead. A lot are already under construction.

Riding on a bus south across, for example, Lambeth bridge gives you a glimpse of the sheer scale of what's on the way.

Lagos Nigeria. By then Eko Atlantic City will be built and possibly other skyscrapers. I also think other sub-saharan skylines will change drastically.
