The best crowds: The ability to scream like monkeys for hours as if life depended on it, in order to give the recipients superhuman energy and skills to excel in whatever activity they are performing.

Having Messi/Maradona/Pope Francis/etc: The indisputable evidence that God has specials plans for Argentina, and that ultimately we are the chosen people. It’s quite obvious that a world conspiracy has prevented the country from being the global superpower; there is no other possible explanation.

The beautiful landscapes: I’ll grant you this one, as it doesn’t involve their people.

3 things our country is most proud of - America I agree with joakim3's list, but I'd revise it slightly.

1) "Freedom"
2) military (which fights for our freedom!)
3) "being number 1" or a "winner" (Included in this, "special access" to God and "success" in all endeavors, because Americans "can do" anything. We want to be the first and the best!)

Others gave really good answers too. I don't want to take away from that, but I think that if we are looking at the core of what we are proud of, #3 encompasses things like the moon landing - which was just cool. And the person who said the 2nd amendment could easily find that answer in the broader category of "freedom" (same with the low taxes answer).

We're proud that most of Europe doesn't speak German 0and that we exhausted most of Hitler's forces so that the west could fight a very watered down war compared to the horrible Eastern Front
