Metro Phoenix, AZ USA
Starting March 18, some local shopping stores will open earlier than their normal schedule (5AM-6AM) only for elderly shoppers (65 y/o and older). Not really considered brilliant but small acts can do wonders.

What about your community?

The consensus here is that everybody should stay home. Most of people to whom I'm talking is doing this. Shopping malls are closing. Only drugstores and groceries remain open.

For eastern europe, my country at least: we closed the borders when the cases were less than 100. Western europe are now having a 'taste of their own medicine' (weird metaphore i know...) when you're anti-eastern europe and want more immigrants from a country where they literally eat 50,000 dogs/day. UK, Switzerland, Germany, Norway etc are now seeing the outcome of the pro-non europe policies.

It will also be good strategy if alcohol and tobacco are forbidden. If someone uses the excuse that vodka 40% degrees is good for disinfection: just buy normal spirt.

A bunch of stuff. There are like a billion news pieces about them.

Taiwan Is Beating the Coronavirus. Can the US Do the Same?
How Taiwan is containing coronavirus – despite diplomatic isolation by China
What Taiwan can teach the world on fighting the coronavirus

If other countries had acted fast enough none of this mess would be happening.

I just saw the Italian numbers for today, 5300+ new cases today, that's incredible for a country which has been completely shut down and where people don't leave their homes anymore. Even the few odd ones that do can't account for 5300+ new infections.
Something eerie is going on. I hope we have not overlooked another way of transmission that is unaffected by our current approaches.

It looked like South Korea had it under control, but it has reported increasing numbers for days now.

There's the possibility that the testing is still mostly just catching up with the actual spread of the coronavirus.

That would be a gloomy thing because Italy is testing a lot, it would mean other countries in Europe and elsewhere are heading for the same development without knowing it.

The head of the UN warned of millions of dead people. Then again, he is a moron and probably just wants to grab attention.

Today is the day China's share of worldwide Corona cases has shrunk to exactly one third. Who would have guessed just 4 weeks ago...

So far only Japan are doing a great job, given what they have. The so called western/catholic world is a disaster both in terms of cases and in terms of ways to handle it.

Africa and eastern europe are doing better only because they have low tourism and immigration not because their hospitals are amazing or so.
