Do you mean obtain citizenship in another country? I would be cool with having dual citizenship, but I don't think I would give up my US citizenship...mainly because my family and friends are here and I have no reason to give it up.
I definitely would not give up my US citizenship, but I was seriously considering marrying an EU national in order to stay in Europe. I really love Spain and would love to live on the coast there near Barcelona or Valencia. The French riviera is sweet also, but out of my budget.
I should have taken advantage of a dual citizenship when I had the chance, but did not. (German). I was born a USCIT to a USCIT father and a German mother (she later became a USCIT).
I would never give up my Australian citizenship but I'll probably get British citizenship as well when I'm eligilble. Not instead but in addition to. I just couldn't imagine becoming an English rugby or cricket supporter though.
