Nouns being used as verbs and vice versa, that's something that's always struck me about English. It seems as if you can put a "to" in front of every noun known to man .
I wonder if this process is more prevalent in the United States? Or does it exist everywhere in the English-speaking countries?
My mother's church has had this slogan for a few years now. It's on a banner on their entrance: Growing God's People. I imagine this weird cornfield with people's faces sticking out of the husks.
