The art of writing brings it's own satisfaction. If it's about money, you would want to invest a bit more in what pays the way...That would benefit you by providing the time to play in other topics just for fun...wouldn't it?
There's a thread somewhere on CD about paid blogging with good recommendations I want to look into for myself... Since a real job hasn't been forthcoming for more than a year.
Would you say you've always been admonished that writing could be for you? I was since my early years & never pursued it. Now may be the time...
As for your inclinations, community columnists get to write on broad topics: perhaps that could be your calling?
