The phrase "if you will" should be banned. It is certainly over-used. A fun list to start the New Year. I'm okay with shortening "application" to "app."

I'm okay with app, too. It's nothing new, it's just that i-phones made it more commonly known.
The comments below the article are hilarious--both the ones who offer other words to ban, as well as the comments pointing out the futility and effete attitude of trying to forbid catch-phrases and words.
As someone else mentioned, "FAIL" has had its moment and I wish it could go back to just being a regular verb, not an adjective.
