Hello, Im looking to move myself and family to Wyoming. We are looking to live some where were my boys can grow and be outside. We love the out doors, camping and fishing. My wife and I would like to live in a good school district but are also concsidering home school. We are looking for wide open lands with trees next to water. Im a heavy equipment mecanic with welding experience. I have worked on everthing from trash trucks to our GM fleet. I have six years of experience in air brakes and hydrolice systems for Heil platfroms. I have an AA in automotive technology from AAI in Arizona, Iv been turing wrenches on anying that runs on some kind of fuel for 15 years. I am looking to live anywhere that will give us the ability to be happy with our enviroment along with the abilty to live self sustained.

You may consider looking for work in Gillette as I've notice quite a few welding and mechanic jobs listed lately. It's a great town and you could even live in Pine Haven right along Keyhole Reservoir (about 40 miles) or Moorcroft (almost 30 miles) from Gillette and be near the water. We definitely have the wide open spaces here. We like it because we like the variety....open spaces, but having the Big Horn mountains close to the west and the Black Hills close to the east, as well as the lake close by. In Wyoming driving an hour or two is considered "close"! I work for the Campbell Co. (Gillette) school district and consider it the best I've ever worked for. Just a thought as I think it covers most of what you've mentioned so far.

They need good wrench turners in the oil patch and coal fields too.

Gillette does seem like a pretty good possibility. You could also check out Sheridan and compare them.

You might check out the Gillette News Record website. In just the past few days there has been an add for a company looking for 8 welders as well as several others for welding/mechanic jobs.
