Just moved to Cheyenne, WY and I am looking for someone to do my hair. I am from Los Angeles, CA and I am used to getting my hair "pressed and flat-ironed". For whatever reason, the few hair stylists I have encountered in Cheyenne do not press hair. Therefore, I am willing to take the drive every now and then to Colorado's Denver or Fort Collins area to get my hair done if I have too. Does anybody have any suggestions where I should go? Black girl with hair needs...lol

Are there any blacks in that town at all?
I'm suprised you haven't learned to flat iron yourself, not that hard.

Go to Kim at JCPenney's, I worked with her, she has a large clientel. She's been doing hair for years, and is an African American herself, and she's a lot of fun!

There used to be a shop in town, where the hubby was a barber and wife did hair too. But now...options are limited. Denver has the most options but when the weather isnt good that's obviously a bit more challenging, I try to get there once every few weeks. My barber doesn't have a beautician though, but Colfax has lots of black salons as you go further up past downtown.

No black hair solutions in Ft. Collins, though..at least not in the years I've been in the region.

Someone at Second Baptist Church could also likely point you in the right direction more locally...but I realize church isn't everyone's cup of tea.

Heck, I can't even get a good clipper cut in Wyoming. All I want is a simple #3 on the top, #2 on the sides. I always come out looking like I lost a fight with a drunk guy with hedge trimmers. The service industries are not our strong suit.

There are plenty of good stylists in Wyoming who can easily handle what you describe above and more. Generalized comments like this are offensive to those of us that are skilled at our trade.
