Are there any places in/near Buffalo or Sheridan that allow dogs? We want to come out for another week but this time I'd like to take our dogs with us. We have 2 brittanys. One has health issues (arthritis and hip problems) and needs meds so I don't want to kennel them this time.

Any suggestions appreciated. It would be for one week sometime between mid-Nov and mid-Jan.

Thanks!

Deanna

When we moved last February we stayed at a handful of different places, we had two cats with us.

If I remember right, Days Inn was pet friendly, Comfort Inn, The holiday inn, Best Western.

Some charge a few dollars extra, but it is usually pretty cheap...

I am not sure about places to stay in Buffalo.

I know they are pet friendly at those four I listed above in Sheridan...

Thanks Kristyn. I'll look those chains up and see where they're located. Many hotels by us don't allow pets. I know of one that does and they want $50 a night extra ($25 per pet)!

My husband, being the outdoorsman he is, says we should just camp. To me a tent in Nov, Dec or Jan really isn't fun anymore - been there, done that. My 7 yr old would be up for it but I squashed that idea real quick. My back would stiffen and I'd never get off the ground in the morning!

his time through I want to make it to Sheridan. There are some homes and land parcels for sale there that look interesting but pictures on the internet don't give you a feel for a place. I'd like an old farmhouse with character but not seeing too many of those on the internet. Anywhere from Buffalo to Sheridan sounds wonderful to me. Just wish our house would sell so we could move.

Thanks again.

Deanna

The states we stopped in were in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana and Wyoming. Most of the people in the chains I listed were very pet friendly... but I am not sure about Southern West coast, Southern states and the Eastern states. I think hotels are independently owned so it really depends on each places policies.

I would get on hotels.com - WE KNOW HOTELS INSIDE AND OUT.® and usually they will list the phone numbers too and you can call and ask what their pet policies are ahead of time.. that is what I did before we moved...

As far as homes, they fly like pancakes here, by the time you go home or even get here they could be sold that quick...

Best of luck to ya

I used to travel for the company and took my water spaniel with me. I found every Motel 6 I stayed at to be pet friendly. And they didn't charge an extra fee. Might check their website out.

Thank you. My husband found a Buffalo phone book (no idea where he got that in WI). We'll start making some calls and visiting some web sites. At least I now have some places to start with.

Thanks again!
