It is so hard to continue to go to Laramie or Casper to shop at WalMart. It's so nice to have a new store coming to our community. When will they begin the building process and I would to add that I hope they build the building facing east because the wind is so horrendous.

Has this been confirmed? Also, I have heard rumors that Walmart is moving to Douglas. Has anyone else heard that rumor and does anyone know if it's true?

Rawlins could really use a Wallmart; I know it'd be hell on the few small businesses left there, but Wallmart in Douglas ? there's TWO of them in Casper already; what would be the point ?

I was surprised when I heard the rumor for the same reason. I wasn't sure if anyone else had heard that rumor. I also heard that Worland fought a Walmart off. I know there isn't much in Worland but I can't imagine what would happen if one moved in there to that downtown.

Oct 22 2014 was the "grand opening" date

They built on land next to the Holiday Inn. East Side of town, north of I-80 and just West of 287.
