Most people who come on to the coal mine as a technician come through as a temp worker, with possibilities of hiring on full time eventually. But apr-may are some of the 'shoulder' months and are typically when things are a little slow. Then the Air conditioners kick on throughout the east in June/July and power demand goes back up. I know my mine is not currently hiring temps, but will probably be in June. We primarily hire through Manpower and Adecco

He's an Idaho realtor. This website requires that realtors identify themselves.

When are you moving, Bluesky? Or have you? Still looking at Gillette?

Gillette does have quite a few machinists, some pretty high tech. The machine shops do a lot of work for the mines, also a lot for the oil and gas industry.

One shop is particularly big, L & H Industrial. I remember when it was just a small shop with two partners and a half dozen employees serving mostly local oil companies. It's now huge locally and has several shops throughout the western states, Mexico, Canada, Chili.

I see on their website that they currently have 5 openings in Gillette -- 2 welders, 1 mechanic, 1 machinist, 1 material tech (Move parts of various shapes, sizes and weights with forklifts and overhead cranes. Saw iron of various shapes, sizes and weights. Complete data entry into computer system of inventory materials to ensure inventory accuracy. Load and unload trucks in the yard. General housekeeping of the warehouse and the yard.)
They take applications on line: https://www.lnh.net/all-locations/

That's not the only machine shop in Gillette, just the biggest. I think they'd pay pretty well and would be a good company to work for, but there are other slightly smaller and much smaller machine shops that might be just as good and pay just as well.
