I came to Jacksonhole for the week before heading off to Yellowstone. How is the Latino population in this state?

The reason nobody has answered up to this point is because we have no idea exactly what you’d like to know.

If you are looking for population numbers, about 10% of the people are self-identified Latino. Or about 58,000 out of 580,000 in the state. There will some places where it is close to 20% and places where it is 2% or less.

NW Crow is right. Do a search online-type in the city or town in Wyoming and also type in City Data. Scroll down a ways. It will tell you the different percentages of all races.

Southwest Wyoming has a large Latino population. Rock Springs is the largest city (around 25k) in the area. Are you looking to relocate to an area with a large Latino population? Or are you looking for other information?

Latino's moving to Wyoming will be fine. I have a female Latina friend who is a police officer on the northern side of the state. Says she and her family feel more than welcome in the area.

It's a safe state to relocate to.

Interesting question.

I have a son-in-law who rarely visits saying "There aren't enough Mexicans there." Only Mexican people will suit him. My Latino friends, from various countries of origin, or heritage, tease him when he visits.

He takes the joking good naturedly, but sticks with his opinion. He gives reasons, usually involving differences between the cultures of countries.

So, in my limited experience, it seems to be a personal preference.

Best wishes with your decision.
