Hi. My family and I are moving to Rock springs as I got transferred for my job. I am moving next month and my family is coming a few months later after we sell our house in Denver. I am looking for a place to rent (with or without a respectful roommate) in the price range of $600. So far we have found nothing. Seems very hard to find affordable houseing? Can anyone help us? Thank you!!

PS. I am 42 years old, quiet, very clean and have wonderful references.

Hi we live in Rock Springs. You're going to have a very hard time finding something in that price range without being here to jump on it as soon as it comes up. You need to make a reservation at a hotel before you come to town, I can't stress this enough. We run a job site out here and have sub's coming in from out of town, some have had to learn the hard way that they need to line up room's before they come out because it's very common that there are no rooms available. A lot families are still living in hotels looking for housing and there are still guys living in their cars. You can go onto Rocketminer.com that's the local paper, and the Star Tribune is the Green River paper(12 miles west). I would also call all of the real estate agents listed in the yellow pages for rentals. Alpine property management handles quite a few 307-362-9638. You shouldn't have a problem finding a property to buy once your family relocates with you but understand that houses typically stay on the market for 2 weeks here if that. Hope this helps you some. Kristi
