I think I spelled the city wrong--sorry. My husband was just offered a job in the area and I want to know about the area. We are from Michigan what would the differences be. How expensive is renting a 3-4 bedroom. Is it a good area to raise kids. What kind of weather do you have. I have to say I don't think I know anything about your state and I guess the area is very close to Colorado.

sorry the name is Laramie. I just looked at the Craig list and there doesn't seem to be much rentals and those that are there are in the 1200-1400 range. Is this typical or is there housing cheaper for around 900. My husband wouod go before we would so I would not want to move to a area then can't find housing. We are trying to get back on our feet and here in Michigan the job market is really bad.

Laramie is a college town. There has "GOT" to be housing cheaper. Might be noisy because of other tenants, but there's housing. hahaha Actually, there's housing outside of walking distance to the college that is affordable. Hopefully somebody will chime in and explain it. I used to go down and visit my brother in law. He had a nice house, decent yard, and he said he was lucky to get it at that price.

End of the College year is coming, students leave for the summer. Rentals will be opening up, alot will start to be advertised now or very soon. There might be a link to the paper, the laramie boomerang (How DID it get that name?) or try the chamber of commerce web site. Good Luck and Hope you like WY!!!! I do!!!

WEll I would really like to come to your state. My husband is in MInnesota right now and took a job there. The weather I think even in the spring is worse than here in Michigan. What I'm trying to do and having lots of problems is finding a amtrak route that would get him near Laramie. I'm also looking at Greyhound. So far it would be cheaper to come back to Michigan and then go to Wyoming. Why does Amrak not come to yor state? Where in Colorado would be the closest town. I put in Denver but there must be a closer town than that.

Denver is the closest town to Laramie with Amtrak service.
