Thanks everyone!! All your suggestions really are helpful and if you can think of any more let me know. I am coming to Lander for a week to stay with a buddy of mine on Sunday and I'm pretty stoked about it. Im gonna try talk to some of his friends and work out a game plan. I definitely like the idea of Laramie but I think it might be too commercial-ish. We both went to college in a town that solely revolved around the college and I think were are looking for a little bit different atmosphere. Definitely want something that is a little more close knit where we can meet lots of people and make it feel like home!

You might consider Wheatland - an hour from Cheyenne, less than 2 hours to Casper, 3 hours to Denver, so plenty within reasonable distance, about 20-30 minutes into the mountains & are quite beautiful areas nearby. Also the town is VERY friendly, reasonable real estate market, farms more than ranches, and always a nice breeze on summer evenings to get rid of the day's heat in the summers. I lived there for 7 years and there are things about it I miss very much. It is also very clean - ppl take a lot of pride in keeping their places clean. Lots of fishing & hunting nearby too. And Laramie Peak is GREAT. Douglas (about an hour north on I-25 is really great too.

Lander can be pretty fun thats for sure. I was down there a coupl eof weeks ago and went to a concert that was put on at the local bar. There is a lot to see in that area as well but we still got quite a bit of snow up in the South Pass area, but who knows how long that will last with the temperatures that we have been having lately.
