Wyomingites Say They Can’t Afford Rocky Mountain Power’s 30% Rate Hike

But here today it was mentioned by our State government that PG&E will raise everyone's bill here in Jan. 2024 an additional $32.00+. PG&E had initially wanted a $38.00 hike but the state government here approved the $32.00 increase as they have always in the past approved all the PG&E requests to raise the rates.

As far as Rocky Mountain Power I don't know much about that company but 30% rate hike sounds high but I believe we are getting more screwed by PG&E with all the so called Power Safety Shut Down and the fires this company has caused. They simply pass whatever law suits or fines down to the consumer.

Meanwhile, just across the border Black Hills Energy wants to charge people for the electricity they generate from their own solar cells!

Star Valley, Heading north on US 89 over Salt River Pass to South end of the valley. First town is Smoot on by Osmond into Afton, Thru the narrows to Tayne, on down thru Etna to Alpine, the Salt river runs north to alpine where it the Snake River and Greys River run into Palisades reservoir. US 89-26 goes up Snake River Canyon to Jackson hole, US 26 goes into Idaho Swan Valley .....

That is a whopper of a one year increase. Hardly seems "fair" to me.

On the bright side, Wyomingites have some of the cheapest electricity in the country at the present time.
