We are planning a trip up to WY in two weeks. We are staying for three days and visiting Cheyenne, Casper, Cody, and Riverton. What are some key places that would be good to visit??

I've noticed that it is cool there in the evening (around the 40's), but the days seem variable, what are the average temps in the area for this time of year??

In Cheyenne, check out the Capital Bldg and the Public Library (it's FANTASTIC!). In Casper, I could help you out better if you let me know what you may be interested in....

Riverton has....well.....the casino??? Every year they have a hot-air ballon festival (but that's over with)....but there's not much to do there (I used to live there....it's a little drab)....but over in Lander it's gorgeous...there's Sinks Canyon (where the river "sinks" into the ground and it doesn't come back up until a mile or so down the road at the "rise")....it's pretty cool.

Cody has the Buffalo Bill Museum (which is AWESOME) and Heart Mountain (which is a great educational thing for kids (and adults). It was a concentration camp for Japanese-Americans during the war...very sad.

Temps have been cold at night recently...but get up to 70's/80's some days, but then the next day only into the 50's. It truly is variable....so you kind of have to pack the whole closet because one just never knows what the weather will be like from one minute to the next!

Have a great trip!
