Congrats on the job! Where will you be in the Black Hills? Rapid City area? We're not far from the Black Hills here in Gillette and I love that area. I love Rapid for shopping, etc., too. Personally, I'd prefer living in Rapid than I would in Casper. The only reason I didn't apply for any S.D. teaching jobs is that pay is much higher in Wyoming! Good luck and all that jazz on the new job!

I checked on the teaching thing, too, and you are right!

My new position is in Belle Fourche - so on the far northeast side of the Hills, but close enough! I will be working for the Bureau of Land Management.

That is a pretty area. You are close to lots of things you can do for entertainment and enjoyment! Welcome to the Black Hills!

Congrats on the job! I have to laugh, as I just taught a media literacy unit using John Wayne's "The Cowboys" and they were headed to Belle Fourch SD on the cattle drive

The Rapid City area is beautiful! I've driven through there a few times on my way to WY.
