I know that what I have to offer isn't in Wyoming, but close!!! The movie "Nebraska", with Bruce Dern, just finished up filming for part of the movie in Billings, Montana. It is about folks who moved from MT to NE. Part of the filming was done at KTVQ television studio, as well as other locations in Billings. Some local "extras" were used. Authenticity was pretty good, from what I've heard. Even a local S.O. deputy was used, a guy my DH worked with when he worked for the YCSO there. The Billings news stated that this filming (took only a matter of days) brought a very large amount of revenue into town. Here is the link to one story....there were several others in The Billings Gazette that you can find once you look at this one!

My disappointment with TV was they shot the Sheriff Walt Longmire series (books by author Craig Johnson about a rural county Wyoming sheriff) in New Mexico! That really sucked. I was hoping to see the mythical Absaroka County! Very good series of books, though. And by the way, Sheriff Longmire was played by a Canadian actor while Lou Diamond Phillips played his Indian buddy and a former Nam combat buddy as well.

Ah, well----
I was very disappointed by that as well. They said something like the summer were to short and winters too harsh to support shooting a series that ran most of the year.

I came across this "made in Wyoming" contest winner.. It's an interesting take on the water conservation in the state. I learned a couple of things.

Anyway, enjoy. 'Til The Well Runs Dry | Wyoming Short Film Contest

Jubal starring Glenn Ford filmed at Jackson Hole with Tetons in the background. Classic western.
