I'm looking for a divorce attorney that can handle an uncontested divorce. Any recommendations would be most helpful. Also, does anyone know the approximate cost I can expect to pay for someone to basically draw up and file the papers?

I know this was posted a few years ago, but if you need an attorney for any future situations, I recommend contacting Reese, Samley, Wagenseller, Mecum & Longer, they are located in Lancaster PA. I hope this helps.

Kate, since you're here - could you send me down some fresh PA Scrapple?

Check in your area and see if you even need an attorney.
You may only need the filing fee and you and your spouse can fill in the papers yourself and file.
Since the divorce is uncontested it may not be a big issue or take a long time.
Are there assets and children involved?
If not, even better but still should be somewhat easy to get the papers filled out if you have already agreed on all assets, division, living situations, who pays what and visitation/child support/custody of any children involved.
If children are involved though, I would absolutely demand that any child support be paid through the court system and let them send it to the other spouse. That way they have the record of payments received and sent to the appropriate spouse.

Even if uncontested, in SC it requires the couple live apart for one year before they can officially divorce no-fault.
