- Wellmore Senior Living development: the sign has been up for a while now and they were scheduled to break ground this month (January) but apparently it has been temporarily delayed by the developer. They state that once construction begins it will take approx. 14 months from completion.
-Discount Tire Store has broke ground already in Stonecrest (next door to the old PDG)
-plans have been submitted for a new business in Graystone Crossing called Tropical Smoothies, and TC is also waiting for final plans for another new business called Edible Fruits. I find these two new businesses rather interesting as Tega Cay already had Edible Arrangements go belly up (which if memory serves me correctly they also carried smoothies) but more power to them.
-word is that a new restaurant will be located in the former PDQ building sometime this spring (I know a lot of the kids around here would like to see a Cook Out Restaurant go there).
It seems the planning is pretty bad in this area. Another tire store, and now another fitness center. I wish we had a good Thai restaurant and a Trader Joe's nearby.
Trader Joes would be awesome! PDQ site is perfect fir a Showmars or a good breakfast restaurant which we desperately need
We really need a good family friendly breakfast place here! Fishbones would be a great location. We drive down to IHOP in Rock Hill for an occasional breakfast, I'd prefer to keep my dollars here.
That fishbone location would be perfect. There must be another reason that a restaurant has not gone in there. We moved here in 06 and went there once, shortly after it closed and been vacant ever since.
It kind of sounds like it...but to be fair I have never set foot in one.
I was rather surprised when I found out what was going in there (Midtown has come and gone in various locations in the Charlotte and York County area) but I guess it's better than just sitting there vacant?
