We will be moving to the charlotte area in July. We are particulary interested in the Fort Mill area, as we hear the schools are good, taxes are low, and the area is relatively safe. We heard that John Wieland is working on a development on the Pineville, NC/York County, SC border called McCullough. We like this builder and hear the development will be similar to the Baxter Village concept. We are interested in the homes within this development on the SC side. Is this area considered Fort Mill and within the Fort Mill school district? If not, what is this area considered and how would you describe it (schools, safety, amenities, etc.)?
They have surveyed, cleared, and plotted the land. Right now they are working on drainage, sewer, roads, and other development items. They have opened up the sales office in Downtown Pineville so you could visit and take a look. The site plan looks really nice and I like the overall layout of the community. One of my favorite builders to boot!
From what I heard, this development will straddle NC and SC...don't know this for sure, but if it is, then I imagine some kids will go to Pineville schools, and others in Fort Mill sschools.
What the deal with McCullough it’s grown up but still not a 100% sure on the area and its safety and everything else about it?
