We are looking for land, about 5 to 10 acres with maybe an old farm house,..or just set up with a well, septic and elect. so as to be able to put in a mobile home or such

We are from the coastal region of N.C. and wish to get out of this communist police state. Always have admired the backbone you boys(and girls) from S.C. have.

Im semi disabled now and am looking to get back to a way more simple life style than the hustle rat race of bigger cities. I grew up in the country with "matters and 'tatters and need to get back to it. Need chickens a goat or two and some dirt to plant in.
If any y'all know of sumthing that might fit this bill,..I'd appreciate it!

You didn't mention a price range. But look into Clover or York, or even down south of Rock Hill in Chester. Doesn't sound like you have kids, so schools aren't an issue and you'd probably get some nice land for decent prices in those areas.

Hey Girl Thanx!

Yep,..was even looking over to cherokee co. or Kershaw.
Im looking primarily for private sales,..looking to cut out the realtor middleman if you know what I mean. The money im looking at is about the 30 to 40k price range...more or less depending on the type land, and if it has installed utilities or not, and, or, if it has a well or running water (via creek or stream) on the property. Also would be cash and carry sale,...no bank note!!

But hey,..thanx for the feedback!

Hey gott_cha - I work in the area. The company has an employee ad site. Send me a DM with details that I can post. I have not tried it so this would be a first for me. I know employees live in the area - Kershaw, Chester, Pageland, etc.

I'll be VERY surprised if you find 5-10 acres for $30K - $40K. You'd have to be very far away from Charlotte to get those kinds of prices - definitely stick with Kershaw and Chester in your hunt - that's about where you'd find land for that kind of price. MAYBE Hickory Grove would have land for that price (that's west of York).

Don't know how great it would be though...

Can anyone tell me more about Hickory Grove, South Carolina? Looking into moving there. I am retired. What does land sell for? The cost of houses there. Where is the nearest shopping. Do they have stores there. Any one have any pictures of the area? Please let me know anything you know about the place.
