After 5 months in the building process, we are finally closing on our home in Sun City day after tomorrow!! WOOHOO!! Originally we had thought to just use it for retirement in 6 years or so, but we love the area so much that DH is now looking for a job down there. Anybody know where a geologist with 34 years experience can find something? Thank goodness we didn't have to sell this place to fund that one!
We may even consider selling this house with me moving down there and him commuting for awhile to PA. After the last couple weeks here with snow, cold and icy rain I'm ready to move NOW! Plus the people are tons more friendly than up here.
Now I have to start reading all the message about great places to eat and shop. And since I'm a race fan, but never been to a race, I'm looking forward to that as well because we don't have to bother with a hotel. I'm also hoping to maybe volunteer at the Victory Junction Gang Camp sometime.
I play golf at Sun City sometimes and everybody looks very happy living there. It makes me want to be 55 or older so i can live there. Hope you have as much fun as they are.

You know........he actually has his degree in Earth Space Science Education with a concentration in geology. He taught for 1/2 year way back when, but it was so bad that he left and swore he would never go back. Long story........bad school district and even worse kids! But if he had students that actually wanted to learn, he might consider it.
You must be soooo excited. I can remember the two days before our closing! I could barely sleep!!!
