Hi
Thinking of moving to Indian Land SC or nearby. Any help regarding activities, social connections etc for the over 55 age group. We do not want to move to a 55 and over subdivision. Thanks

Hey Shellsc1, I just got back from vacation and my mom has a house in the Sun City community. Some don't think 55 and over are active, but I beg to differ. My mom loves it and they have 2 clubhouses and have personally worked out in the main clubhouse gym which had all the ammenities. She has a small house with a spare bedroom and bath and the build quality is nice. speed limit is 25, but as beautiful and quiet the place is I welcomed it, coming from noisey Jersey. Dude was in a smokin newer corvette coming in as I was leaving. Sun city exits to route 521 and talk about new construction! You can easily find anything you need on that highway which by the way is only minutes from the North Carolina, South Carolina border. My son from the Marines at Camp Lejune and I frequent the Ballantyne gun range when I vacation down south. The whole area is blooming. Me and the Mrs. stayed at the Town place suites at Red Ventures turnoff at route 521. One minute away was another mall area with Walmart, Krispy Kreme, Mc D's and Chick-fil-a...You just can't beat that area
Caught rush traffic one day and not bad for a 2 lane one direction highway...Jersey sucks and I can't wait to move down there...Good luck!
