Just saw a Facebook post from Greg Suskin that there is a confirmed Coronavirus case at the hospital in Lancaster. The patient is said to be doing well. The hospital is limiting visitors. I am looking for a link on the ESOC wen site
“And they told him with current guidelines, that they cannot test him unless he’s traveled to China, Italy, Iran or one of the countries with a high case history and high death rate,” Lee said.
So, Lee called the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control to know why his son hadn’t been tested for the virus.
“Their response was basically exactly what the doctor’s office told him that,” Lee said. “Unless you’ve traveled to one of these countries or are in critical conditions, we’re not testing.”
I don't know how PMC is handling this virus or if they have sufficient test kits to check everyone that shows up. I haven't been out of my house in 15 days nor has my husband. I am not sick just allergies from maple and oak trees. Plus everything is covered outside in yellow pollen from the pine trees. This was not a prime time to hit in our area with so many allergy suffers.
WHO (World Health Organization) should have gone into Wuhan,China instead of delaying. We are WHO's largest financial contributor. The National Institutes of Health had an opportunity to develop and test drugs related to the Coronavirus. We had SARS Coronavirus 2 in 2002 which did not spread the same as this Coronavirus 19. The National Institutes of Health instead spent tens of millions of taxpayer dollars studying drunk monkeys, weight of lesbians/gays, impact of TV on Vietnam, soap operas HIV, tailgating & alcoholism. No new drug testing development or studies. This is why the federal government can't handle our healthcare.
