We are new to the area and I am trying to find a pre-school for my 5yr old son (just turned 5 on 9/15 - so he missed the K cut-off). I've narrowed it down to St. Philip Neri and Leroy Springs thanks to reading previous posts and because these are the only 2 that still have 1 opening left for the 5 day 4 yr old class.

All the others I've checked out and toured have wait lists (St. John's, Harrisons....).

I live in Indian Land so Leroy Springs would be closer, but both seemed really nice. Helping to get him ready for Kindergarten is my main focus when comparing the two. Does anyone have any advice/insight about these two schools.

Thanks so much in advance!

When we relocated from CA to SC, our 5 year old son was in need of meeting new friends. We enrolled him in Leroy Springs, and it was the **BEST** experience, and a wonderful learning environment for him. We signed his sister, who is now 3.5 years old, up for Leroy Springs this year. We just can't say enough positive things about Leroy Springs, though I have seen an ocassional negative posting about some after school program.

Maybe I am too late with this (going through the first couple of pages of threads since I have been away for a while), but:

Our child is in St. Philip Neri and it is great!
