Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

427 And 640: Two New Highway Numbers To Look For In West Texas

As it stands now, it's a long way from happening, but you can bet that highway gurus have these thoughts in the backs of their minds. Two West Texas loop highways, one full freeway and another about to be converted into one, are bona fide candidates for bigger and better things.

Like, for example, interstate designations.

It's not out of the realm of possibility. With Lubbock and Amarillo seeing the fruit realized on State Loop 289 and State Loop 335,...

Dems And Biden Continue To Eat Quid Pro Crow

Posted 12-25-2019 at 10:35 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

Isn't it amazing how Democrats in America come up with certain catch phrases or catch words to fit their narrative of things happening in our world? It seems to change from week to week. One week, it's quid pro quo, and the next, it's bribery. In an obvious effort to distract from what is really happening, the left always wants to focus on a new word in today's media garbage dump.

People are tired of the shenanigans. Let's face it; those who oppose common sense,...

More Misheard Lyrics: Did Paul McCartney Pitch A Shopping Mall?

Posted 12-25-2019 at 08:53 AM by case44 (Welcome To Case's Column)

I couldn't help but rummage up another bit of misheard song lyrics (This post, for now, will be done in brief). When something's stuck on your mind, sometimes, you've got to let it out.

While others of you are still revealing your opened Christmas gifts (and Merry Christmas, y'all), I want to just reveal something spotted in a Paul McCartney song which he put together during his years with Wings. Imagine, as you listen to this, what you might be thinking....
