Has anyone moved from Orange County to the Phoenix area and had regrets?

After living in the Phoenix/Scottsdale area for nine years, my husband and I moved to OC about 3 years ago (we are both from the Midwest originally). I teach part-time and take care of our two-year-old and my husband is in marketing.
My husband has grown increasingly frustrated with his job here and has applied for several similar paying jobs in Phoenix. I've also noticed more teaching jobs in the Phoenix area, and as a fine arts teacher I am very lucky to have the part-time job I do here....

Phoenix vs. Denver vs. Atlanta vs. Austin

I've lived in Phoenix now for over 5 years (by way of Lincoln, NE) and just found out my awesome job as an art teacher is being cut for next year... along with hundreds of other teaching jobs because of state cuts, low enrollment etc. Job market in Phoenix now looks gloomy for me.
It's quite possible that I could get a half time teaching position and then I could go back to school for my masters if I can get grant money and loans (in state tuition!) But I'm also considering moving because...
