For two days now, we have been keeping the Television off, so my Son can write on his Book.
I read chapter seven of his book, (actually, went and reread all the chapters so that I would be up to speed on everything), and, like everything so far, is clear and concise about his writing.
He has an analytical mind, and concise thoughts, so that he can put down on paper, his exact thoughts in a well organized process.
He consults his friends for ideas, especially dealing with firearms, as they are all 'gun nuts', and he consults me on whats feasable for scientific facts or possibilities. (Having read over a thousand sci-fi books, I have a good grasp on what can, and can not be accomplished, due to watching a lot of science programs
).
I tell my Son, a lot of Science Fiction writers are actually Sicientist! How else would they know whats actually feasable and whats not, in the relm of science fiction? My Son is writing this book, and he has only read Fantasy Books, so, he still has to get advice on this and that at times, just so that, when he does finially publish the book, it cant be 'picked apart' by those who would do so, because of mistakes and impossibilities.
Yes, there are a whole host of people who love doing that, to just about anything that is written, when they get a book that they either like, or dislike, but, feel the need to do thier public duty LOL
Plus the fact, that the Publisher will pick apart his writing due to grammatical errors that he makes, and that will be something when, or if he gets it back with a lot of 'red marks' all over it, from the many mistakes Im sure, will come up over the course of his writings. (Fortunately, he is exceptional in English, so, Im hoping it will be few and far between).
OK, it will be time for the News in an hour, and the peace and quiet of the house will be disrupted by the loud TV, as my Wife and I will be watching it and fighting for it to be higher or lower LOL... Sometimes those blasted hearing aides arent worth a hoot, cause she can suddenly hear, and I still cant!
