Last Week

One day last week we got some snow, not a lot, about two inches. I decided to shovel my driveway anyway so it wouldn't turn to ice. I put my coat and ski cap on and spent almost 20 minutes out there huffing and puffing until I was finished. I was dizzy and weak when I came back into the house so I threw my coat on the sofa and plopped down in the recliner and closed my eyes while my ticker was still thumping like crazy. I must have dozed off for a little bit and got up to use the bathroom. That's when I noticed in the mirror I still had my ski cap on so I took it off and saw that I had a Donald Trump hairdo. I took my hand and quickly messed it up, I didn't like looking like that dude. Later that day I went to the grocery store and saw that the parking lot was glistening, not from snow but from rock salt, they went overboard with it. I looked around to see if anyone was watching and then I got my ice scraper with the little broom attached out of my trunk and swept up a few handfuls of the salt from the parking lot and put it in the trunk of my car. I only needed it for my porch because it really gets icy there. I didn't know it at the time but my neighbor was watching me because I got an e-mail from him telling me I looked like I was feeding chickens the way I was throwing the salt. I didn't tell him where I got it because he is almost as cheap as I am and he would have wanted me to go with him to that parking lot to help him load up on it. It hit 77 today and all the snow is gone. Good
