You're right. 14%, permanent tax cuts/welfare to corporations and the filthy rich are much more honorable "subsidies" to permit. You look down on have nothings, the way have everythings look down on you. Not only that, you defend a system that is set up for you to work so someone else doesn't have to, until you die. Capitalist society, winner takes all and only single digit percentage of people ever ascend classes, with plenty that plummet never to recover.

Who's making excuses? You think if you become seriously ill, develop an aggressive cancer, that disability and Aflac that maxes out at $25,000 is going to pay all your bills? Some people have a below average IQ for whom minimum wage, that hasn't been increased for 10 years due to Republican obstructionism while cost of living doesn't miss a beat, is supposed to suffice. Most people are fortunate not to have a degenerating mental illness not fully treatable, impeding meeting alimentary needs.

Hopefully, for your sake you stay healthy, your company doesn't go under during high unemployment and you don’t get sued for everything you have, but life has a funny way of humbling those of us that need it. Should you ever be on the receiving end of your attitude, it will feel truly hopeless because you will know people think the way you do. Can't happen to me. You're wrong. But only in selfishness, when it does, will you expect understanding and decency.

Homeless are all lazy, drug addicts? That's not my experience on the front lines. Our socio-economic inequality continues to grow. 10-20 years from now, your income and savings may not be adequate to sustain.

I hope your entitled attitude, ignorance and dumb luck continue to serve you. I doubt you’d fare well if tested.
