Going to church, reading the bible, listening to Christian music will not advance your spiritual life. These activities may give you more understanding but until you are ready to lay down your life and take up your cross this leads nowhere.

What I am talking about is the sacrifice of self to advance the cause of Jesus Christ in the world. There is a destiny that God had for each of us that only we can personally discover. We can discover it only by detaching from the world and making ourselves available for the Holy Spirit. By detaching from the world--now you have time--the commodity that most Christians are not willing to give.

Jesus said, "Self-help is not help at all. Self-sacrifice is the way, to finding yourself, your true self. (Matthew 16:25)

"God has planted eternity in the human heart." (Ecclesiastes 3:11)

"Anyone who lets himself be distracted from the work I plan for him is not fit for the Kingdom of God." (Luke 9:62)

"The most important thing is that I complete my mission, the work that the Lord Jesus gave me." (Acts 20:24)

"We have been sent to speak for Christ." (2 Corinthians 5:20)

"We are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus, to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10)

Ten Power Exhortations - June 15, 2018

Posted 06-15-2018 at 03:18 PM by Albert Finch

"And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another in the fear of God." - Ephesians 5:18-21

When God floods our lives there is an overflow that passes from one person to another. Religion and bad teaching have made people believe they have nothing to give.

When God pours into you His manifested tangible presence. Believe that you have something to give. Don't be shut down by the tentacles of religion. Find freedom in faith knowing that God's presence and glory is in you and is "transferable."

Psalm 119:105,111 - "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. Thy testimonies have I taken as an heritage for ever: for they are the rejoicing of my heart."

The attitude of those who live from the triumph of Christ is different than those who live under the influence of their past.
The only part of the past that we have legal access to is the testimony of the Lord. The rest is dead, buried, forgotten, and covered under the blood. The past should have no negative effect on the way we live, as the blood of Jesus is more than sufficient.

Living FROM the victory of Christ is the privilege for every believer.

Affirmation:
Since I am in Christ I am in another reality and another life altogether.

"Those who know their God will do great exploits." (Daniel 11:32)

God wants His people to walk in such a realm of knowing Him that as soon as we walk into a place, we can discern what is God or what is not of God. He wants us to come to the point that we are living according to the promise of 1 John 2:2 and 7, that we have an "anointing within to teach you." He wants to DEMONSTRATE MIGHTY ACTS through our lives.

One of the things that the Lord wants to begin to manifest through the church is a people who are living by KNOWING God, who aren't bouncing off every wall but are guided by the Holy Spirit.

I have to be willing to stretch beyond what I think is possible. i.e. My reach needs to exceed my grasp. I have to stretch from my spirit man through faith.

Luke 6:9-10 - And Jesus said to them, “I ask you, is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the Sabbath, to save a life or to destroy it?” After looking around at them all, He said to him, “Stretch out your hand!” And he , ando; and his hand was restored.

There is something NEW God wants to do in each of us. What God is about to do exists in our future ahead of us in that unexplored, supernatural campground called the Kingdom of God.
It will not be accomplished through human soulish striving but by a revelation of the Spirit and the activation of our faith to speak in agreement with God's DESTINY plan for our lives.

Affirmation:
I am renewed in the spirit of my mind: and I put on the new man, which after God has created in righteousness and true holiness.

You have resurrection power attached to your prayer life! You can look to things that are absolutely dead and pray forth eternal LIFE! The same power in us is the same potency God demonstrated when He raised Jesus out of the grave.
"His power at work in us who believe. This power in us is the same as the mighty strength which He used when He raised Christ from death...." - Ephesians 1:20

Jesus is the fulfillment of the promised land for our lives. We no longer have to settle for manna. We can eat the food of the land of promise. There is variety, color, fullness, and life for us in the promised land. No more desert, no more dry places.
The promises of God bring us into a land of abundance, and the overflow with new adventures of conquest and expansion. Springs of life and rivers of living water overflow here. All of this is ours in the promised land.

The people of God in Isaiah's day had starved their imagination by looking on the face of idols., and Isaiah made them begin to use their imagination aright. Rouse yourself - deliberately turn your imagination to God.

"Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things." - Isaiah 40:26

Under the unction and anointing of the Holy Spirit there comes a divine release as you are propelled forward into God's plan and destiny for your life. As you take a "leap of faith" out of the nest of comfort and familiarity, you launch out into the deep. -- Am I willing to leave behind everything?
