Welcome To Case's Column

Let me say a big welcome to all of you for joining me here. I'm going to call these blog meetings Case's Column. I wanted to use "Corner", but that was already taken. Since 2008, it's been a real privilege to come on here and share some of my life with you, and it's a big world where we live.

In these blogs, I'll just speak whatever is on my mind, but we will be playing within the rules here. I may pick a particular topic, point out an event, or shoot the breeze. I'm a little bit of an essayist at times, so I'll just speak what's on my mind, and I might tell a story or two. Or, I might spew out an opinion or three. There will be some serious moments, some tender, some poignant, but there will also be those moments that you'll just bust out laughing. But, hopefully, everything will be in good fun here. And, of course, there's a place below for your comments and thoughts as we go along here. So feel free to join me for the ride -- I sure as heck hope I'm doing this right and not making any mistakes.

Thanks for taking your time in reading Case's Column. Hopefully, you'll enjoy being entertained by it as much as I've enjoyed putting these writings together. And thanks for the time you spend in City-Data.com, where it's great to be alive!

Regards,

Dinner At Mickey D's Was The Trump Special (Well, Mostly)

Posted 05-04-2024 at 07:14 PM by case44

Now that my weekend has started, I was craving a Filet-O-Fish from McDonald's. Fair game, so perhaps it had become time when other places tried to compete with it for mere attention.

I was also craving a Quarter Pounder with cheese. Also fair game. And I had just been at one McDonald's location for breakfast takeout earlier in the day, so maybe, I'll do another location for dinner. Hey, why not? They're right there in the area. And those two aforementioned sandwich choices just happen to be part of someone else's favorite meal ticket.

It is no secret that President Donald J. Trump is a big fan of McDonald's. I mean, he looooooves Mickey D's. Not long ago, I heard on one of those radio shows what his usual order is whenever he stops by there. I call it The Trump Special. Now, for him, it consists of the Quarter Pounder with cheese, Filet-O-Fish, large fries, and a Diet Coke. Well, your writer stopped in locally at a Mickey D's earlier this evening and got three of the four items, but I don't drink Diet anything. I'll drink toilet water before I have any beverage containing the word Diet with a capital D. So, The Case sat down to those aforementioned munch items, but his drink was a regular Coke, sided with medium fries (because that counter lady just doesn't understand how to do orders, but I kept that and ate them). That'll just be my version of the Trump Special.

Just think, if the mainstream media actually allows Republicans to win their elected seats, including President Trump, then what better way to celebrate than with a McDonald's Trump Special?? You know I'll be there.
