Hi,

This is strange. Every time I visit a page that I've been to before, the page appears to load from the cache rather than loading an updated page. I have to hit 'refresh' in order to view the updated page each and every time. In fact, right after logging in, the page that comes up immediately afterward shows I haven't logged in until I hit 'refresh.'

I frequent lots of forums, including V-Bulletin forums, and I've never had this issue before. I've tried clearing my cache, but it makes no difference. I'm using Opera 9.25.

Any ideas? I can't be the only one experiencing this.

Thanks.

Man, sounds like a browser problem. I haven't used Opera in a long time. I'll see if I still have it and give it a try. Do you have another browser to use to see if it is in fact isolated to Opera?

Yes, I have Firefox and IE and will give them a try. Thing is, I use Opera for all my other forum-surfing and never have this issue. Only on this one.

Oh, ok. I'll think on it a bit ...or perhaps somebody else out there who's better at this can get back to you in the meantime.

Thanks for the replies. Firefox seems to be working okay. So apparently it IS an Opera problem. Still don't get why Opera would work fine on every other forum but this one though.

I don't have an answer but I was having problems with Safari, and not with Firefox. I think some sites are written with some specific browsers in mind and operate best with those and not others.

Only the Tech Guru can probably answer this.

Have you tried logging out, clearing all cookies pertaining to this site, and then logging back on?

Hey, that seems to have worked. Thank you much. Not sure I understand WHY it worked, but...

As for WHY, I can only quote what OTR said above: "Only the Tech Guru can probably answer this."
