I have a question for the staff here, Have you ever thought of setting up moderators for each State? Requirements would have to be that the member would be active, worthy of such a position, and live in that State.
Just a question, I figured that it would be better to post this, so that all members could see it, because I am almost certain that I am not the first person to think of this.
Good idea. I see too many negative replies from people no longer living in the states. A little more possitive knowledge from someone who loves the place they live in would be helpful! I agree with you -Q-!
Finding 50 people willing to be Mods isn't easy, and not easy to manage from the perspective of the overall Mod. Not sure I'd even want to be a Mod, as dealing with the occasional difficult person can be frustrating / annoying. To insure evenness across the entire site, all 50 Mods would need to follow a set of guidelines, and even then performance btw Mods will vary. Probably better to have 2-3 overall Mods and depend on the rest of us to behave politely and report errant activity.
This is a cool site for getting out the unvarnished truth about any given area, both the good and the not-so-good aspects. I hope we can keep it that way and stay focused on getting good valid info out to others, without anyone having to pay for it.
Right now, we're at about 700 new posts/day. This is double what it was just two months ago. If we get to over 1000 posts/day, we'll have to look at adding new moderators or some other ways to lessen the workload...
I just joined the forum earlier this week. I posted three threads concerning Montana, Wyoming and S. Dakota. My Montana thread was deleted today. I do not know what I did wrong to cause it to be deleted. If possible, I would like to know how to find out what happened or what it was I incorrectly did, so I do not to repeat it in the future. Thank you /s/ WLeonard Athas
