Meh, it doesn't bother me.

Porn out it California is extremly safe. Why? Its regulated and legal. Areas of Nevada prostitution is legal and heavily regulated.

Off topic but similar: I've got a bet with a friend to find out what becomes legal here first in Alabama, perscription drugs or the lottery. He's on the lottery. I'm on perscription drugs.

The lottery, they will use the same lie that New York State used and tell them it is for the children and in the meantime they will turn folks into gamblers. Gambling is ok as long as the government gets their vig.

I'm pretty sure prescription drugs are already legal. And I agree you do appear to be "on perscription (sic) drugs.

You meant prescription cannabis oil, correct? Yeah, that should be legalized but everything else NO! Actually, Alabama Legislature has approved cannabis oil bill.

Carly's Law was signed by Bentley at the beginning of the month. Its a law now. Mike Ball is a friend of ours that lead the charge on this, he doesn't see any way that Montgomery would legalize recreational pot use.

This state won't even pass a lottery. Prostitution and pot have zero chance without an extreme change in the electorate and the legislature.

Sadly you are correct. Its not "defeatism", its just the reality of dealing with a criminal element. They always find a way, laws are not going to stop them.

Dangerous stuff. Houses that have had "meth labs" literally need to be completely gutted, they are toxic hazards. Not to mention they are highly stigmatized. There was a meth house in Madison that burned several years ago, took forever for it to sell and I'm surprised it did in the condition it was in. Meth destroys everything it comes in contact with.

No, I meant meant good old weed. I've known a few survivors (and non-survivors) of cancer who could have benefited from smoking weed. One did even though it was illegal. Others don't because they were afraid of getting caught and going to jail. Yes, they are passing the oil, but thats not the same thing.

No, the meth house was several years ago, around 2008-2009....but if the one you are talking about is the one that I am thinking of that was an electrical fire that started in the garage.

Many modern medicines as well as effective natural therapies are derived from plants. I don't see anything wrong with using marijuana in the same capacity. I also don't see much difference between marijuana use and alcohol use, both have an adverse affect on one's capacities, and IMO alcohol tends to have a worse affect than marijuana on a person. One is legal, and one is not, which makes little sense to me. Not advocating, just pointing out an obvious contradiction.

Lawrence county needs to legalize and tax weed pronto pronto.

Though I would not partake, I think legalizing weed would be a good move for Alabama. I'd even vote for it, and it takes a large change in the status quo to get me to show up to the polling places. Not just prescription, but recreational. Free oz of weed with every pontoon boat purchase.

Legalizing hookers, no. The seedy underbelly of that world is too seedy.

Marijuana will be legal nationwide and we will look back on this the same way we look at alcohol prohibition now.
