Hi everyone,

We are moving to Montgomery from NOLA and a bit concerned about the crime I am reading about, or is nothing to worry about compared to NOLA?
I don't want to live in a Mc Mansion, I would like the downtown experience ( I think) so I might be able to walk to shops and a few nice restaurants. I hear Old Cloverdale is good. Schools no factor as the children are very small. I am comfortable with all types of folks as long as they aren't trying to kill me.
I was thinking of renting a house on the 400 block of E Fairview or buying in the 3200s of Lexington, perhaps and renting it out when we leave, maybe. Advice, please? Must we bear arms? Thank you in advance!

Oh my, I think you must have looked at my house. You'll see my response to your other post. Small world.

When it comes to Montgomery I'm highly prejudiced... I don't like it... if you're talking about the west side of town on Fairview then you're either very crazy or very brave.
