Do you mean distributors or individuals? Liquor, wine, or beer?

For example, at a liquor store in a wet county you can buy Jack Daniels whiskey that was made in neighboring Tennessee...

At some bars, you can buy Lazy Magnolia beer made in Mississippi.

It's supposed to be illegal to bring Florida liquor into Alabama, of coarse that law gets broken often on Sundays.

An individual cannot order alcohol, beer or wine to be delivered at their home. So things like "wine of the month" clubs are not valid in Alabama. Which bummed me out.... I thought that'd be the best club ever!

What are the laws on renting a building for a party, charging people to get in, and serving alcohol?

Sounds like a question for your attorney -- the same guy or gal who will be advising you about the necessary permits, contracts, insurance and security.

Most places ( even in the " wettest" states) frown on people who want to run a bar for a one night party .

The feds, state, county, city all want their taxes and permit money. Then there is the little matter of correct zoning. And many governments require that the "host" be licensed with no prior felonies etc.

And they are not nice about demanding them - no "begging forgiveness instead of permission!"
