Winter and road work. We were told that by a tour operator. Must be true because of the amount of road work being done in Anchorage and on the Parks highway. Detours everywhere.

We got off easy in the interior last year. Not so this year... Oh well, at least we seem to have money to spend on roads. I was blown away a few months ago to find that I-5 in S. California was in worse shape than almost anything in AK!

At least you guys only have road construction part of the year. In TX I hear they're going to change the state flag to resemble a road construction barrel.

TONS of projects going on in Anchorage this year. Resurfacing the Glenn, Lake Otis and Tudor intersection and looks like they are starting to resurface Muldoon. I know there are many more, but these are the ones I get to experience almost everyday.
