Response from the Alaska State Fair
"
Our concern is first and foremost the safety of our fairgoers, the families with their children who should be able to enjoy the fair without disturbance or potential danger.
We are in touch with the company with whom we have a contract for fair security to review what transpired. We are also in touch with the Palmer Police on this matter.
Because the fairgrounds is on private property, we reserve the right to remove someone from the premises who is creating a disruption or may pose a threat to the safety of others.
We welcome diverse viewpoints and have a structure in place at the Alaska State Fair that allows for peaceful discord and exchange at our vendor and organization booth area. "

He may have been creating a disruption, but without a doubt he wasn't a theat to safety.

I still stand by what I said before. If he felt the need to protest he should have done it outside the fair grounds. Inside the grounds is not the place for sure things.

It was private property and he was being disruptive. He was asked to leave. He did not. He was removed. He resisted being removed. He was detained. End of story.

Law enforcement isn't pretty and I didn't see security do anything inappropriate. This guy escalated the whole situation and has only himself to blame. He should have educated him self properly on the law before he started his protest.

Unfortunately, like all these videos, we don't see what he was doing before the video. One could argue that him just being there was disruptive even if he wasn't saying anything before.
